Through-the-floor

Get more usable space. The Savaria Telecab17 is a two-stop lift that travels through a simple floor cut-out for a vanishing elevator effect. It’s a space-saving, stylish and affordable option that can handle heavier mobility equipment. The Telecab 17 residential lift is available in two standard sizes – both with a capacity of 384 kg. Thanks to a modular, fully enclosed drive tower which attaches to a support wall, no hoistway is required – so there’s no need to worry about complex, costly installations.

We’ll come visit your home and conduct a needs assessment to help match you up with the best solution for your lifestyle, your current and future mobility needs and your available space. If you’re adding a lift to your existing home, we’ll make recommendations for effective construction and minimal disruption. For new homes, we work with you and your architect to incorporate your lift into the design plan.

Add your personal style
Most of our lifts can be finished to suit your taste and décor. Choose from a full portfolio of materials, including luxury MDF. Cab fixtures come in different metal finishes. And you can even add different car gates and landing doors, including optional Auto Slim. These unique sliding doors are available with glass inserts, stainless steel, painted metal or primer finish.

Code Compliance
Residential lifts must meet the AS1735.18 or ASME A.17.1 and A18.1 standards. These mandates specify maximum dimensions, speed, distance of travel (and levels), types of gates and doors, as well as minimum safety measures. Our residential lifts are compliant with all applicable national Australian codes. Talk to us for information regarding regional codes and bylaws during the installation process.

Installation
Safety is the most important factor of all our projects. Our trained personnel perform exemplary project management on-site and behind the scenes to help avoid potentially costly site preparation mistakes. A home lift model cannot be installed in public or commercial buildings. For outdoor applications we offer wheelchair lifts that are suitable for exterior applications.

Maintenance
Home lifts require regular maintenance by a professional—a minimum of twice a year to maximise safety and reliability. Talk to your Savaria representative about a maintenance package. Lift maintenance is never a do-it-yourself project. All parts must be installed by an authorised Savaria representative.

Safety
Because all our home lifts include a phone for emergency use, a landline connection is required. All our models include emergency manual lowering and safety brakes. Children should never use a home lift without supervision. Ask about optional keyed operation for additional safety. Remember that regular maintenance helps prevent issues and ensures parts that wear are replaced appropriately.
